Read all 3 really enjoyed them!
Just finished 1542, about to start 1543 can’t wait!
Absolutely wonderful reading. Son different from anything else, history, humour and science fiction all rolled into one.
I finished them and really enjoyed them. so much detail. Wish there were more!!!
They are a brilliant read
Robert William Jones, a historian, has opened a window into this period of time, in a fun and imaginative fashion,
Who says history is dull. I need to go back to York and take yet another look
This is a quirky book - horrible histories (Tudors) meets assassin's creed
Thoroughly enjoyed these. Interesting and unique work.
An excellent literary experience with places and names you'd probably recognize from history but with a heady mix of fictional characters to transport you to Tudor England
Brilliant! Love the character Lord Silas.
Laugh out loud moments and clever use of characters. I had to go back to York to see the places again.
Very different, enjoying it.
Great use of language and lots of humour
If you have ever been to York you will love this tale of ordinary and well known Characters negotiating a disaster in the City. Excellent read!
Very amusing and nice little mouse!
'1541: The Cataclysm' is a genius work of historical science fiction – I can’t recommend it highly enough
Well done to Robert for painting a vivid canvas, part fact, part fiction, that allows the reader to immerse themselves very quickly into this era
Real funny read…not the run of the mill book.
I am passionate about history in general but can find some historical novels a bit dry and lacking interest, but not this one…the plot is well developed and believable with a generous dose of humour and twists enough to keep the reader guessing.
This is a Sixteenth Century whodunnit with a modern approach.
Great read. I loved the Characters and the time the authors takes for you to get to know them.
Love history, this was brilliant
Witty characters. Imaginative prose. A pleasant surprise amongst the thousands of Tudor historical fiction novels.
Have read all 3! Really enjoyed them!
It was light and easy to read, and I did laugh out loud in places, but also what had touched my heart. This is a very different type of Tudor novel, but that's a very good thing, as it can be hard to find something new that inspires you to want to read more
